Last night the hubby and I went to a Middle East Restaurant to see a belly dancer from Chicago that's supposed to be a "big deal"...
Anyway, she was dancing to this pop song with a sorta sad feel to it and she danced slower. Well, I don't speak that much Arabic, but I know enough that I picked out words here and there.
The song was about loving a man who loves someone else and how the woman (singer) hoped to die if she couldn't have him.
I wish dancers would be more careful on their music selection... I know I'm guilty of picking wrong too, but still, it's just a shame to have such a nice dance with such a not fitting song other then it has a catchy beat.
